CC 446 H. cooperi v. obtusa f. columnaris - Nr Alicedale CC 446 H. cooperi v. obtusa f. columnaris

FCP ISI 1859 Nr. ALICEDALE, along the Kat River ca. 3 miles S. of the Fish River, Grahamstown area. Received in 1988 from the ISI ex H. Herre.

'Unlike the other variants of this species which have flat rosettes, the obtuse leaves of this variety are upright & form short columns. Rooted cuts of plants from H. Herre'.


CC 56 H. cooperi v. pilifera CC 56 H. cooperi v. pilifera

Obtained from Jum in 03/1986 when it had 7 leaves each 1cm wide with reddish, obtuse & slightly tooth-edged leaves. By 1987 it had 14 leaves+ and was a flat rosette of 3.2cm diam

ISI 1762 obtained in 08/1987 - 'A charming little plant with transparent leaves, differing from f. pilifera in its rounded, smooth, nearly bristleless leaf tips. Rooted cuts of several clones received in 1950 from F.R. Long of Port Elizabeth, collected NE. of Stutterheim & N. of Mgwali, Cape Province, RSA.
