CC 3340 H. odetteae (formerly known as
H. bolusii - narrow-leaf form)
LOOTSKLOOF
A narrow-leaf form
grown from Steve Hammer seed sown on
23/10/1995 with 32 plants being produced from
the 76 seeds.
11 clones were retained and the remainder
circulated rapidly!
Lovely, small, fuzzy plants like a tiny
aranea but, with us, the flower-spikes starting in February, at a similar
time to H. (translucens v. tenera).
Several clones have
become dichotomous and others have begun to offset slowly.
I'd asked, 'So... is it H. bolusii, or what?'
- and the answer is... No, its H. odetteae and named for
Odette Cumming, the wife of David Cumming. |
